Puck + Tidehunter

Why this works

Fighting for the same farm on the map slows down both heroes' key item timings. Tidehunter needs space to secure his initiation tools, while Puck thrives on an early advantage to build momentum. Their primary teamfight spells, Ravage and Dream Coil, overlap in function without creating a truly devastating combo. Stacking a massive area-of-effect stun from Tidehunter with Puck's leash is a lot of control, but the duo often lacks the concentrated damage to convert that setup into a clean fight win before the enemy can recover.

This leads to a disjointed mid-game. Puck wants to create constant pressure and skirmish, but Tidehunter plays a slower tempo, preferring to hit his timings for a decisive five-on-five engagement. The result is that Puck often has to find openings alone, while Tidehunter's big Ravage moments can lack the immediate magical burst needed to secure kills on key targets. The two heroes operate on different clocks, rarely syncing up perfectly to take control of the map or push objectives together.
