Puck + Venomancer

Why this works

Trying to find a clean kill with these two heroes feels awkward. Puck's whole game is about locking a target down with Dream Coil and bursting them from full to zero in a few seconds. All of Venomancer's damage, however, is slow and spread out over time. Poison Nova and Poison Sting are great for long, messy teamfights where you grind the enemy down, but that's the exact opposite of what Puck wants to do. The damage application is completely mismatched; either Puck’s burst is enough to kill the target alone, making Veno's contribution pointless, or it isn't, and the slow poison won't secure the kill in time.

This core conflict makes it hard to establish a game plan. Puck wants to be a mobile threat, creating space with quick pickoffs. Venomancer wants to group with the team, push down a lane with Plague Wards, and force a slow siege. They end up wanting to play in different parts of the map at different speeds. An enemy team can easily exploit this by forcing fights that one hero is prepared for but the other isn't. The result is a lineup that feels split and struggles to play around a single, coherent objective.
