Puck + Windranger

Why this works

Trying to set up a kill with this pair often feels disjointed. Puck wants to land a multi-hero Dream Coil to control a teamfight, forcing enemies to scatter or be stunned. Windranger is usually looking for a completely different angle, trying to find a long-duration Shackleshot on a single hero to melt them with Focus Fire. These two forms of control rarely work together well. A good Coil can make landing a key Shackle difficult, and a target stunned by Shackle isn't moving to break the Coil leash. They end up with redundant damage and control that doesn't stack.

This lack of synergy creates a team that is often too fragile and lacks a clear game plan. Both Puck and Windranger are elusive damage dealers who need another hero to create space and stand on the frontline. Without that, they can be run over by a simple five-man push. The enemy team can force fights, knowing this duo struggles to stand their ground. The only real path to victory is to dominate the early game with individual pickoffs, but if the game ever evens out, their compositional flaws become very obvious.
