Pudge + Queen of Pain

Why this works

Picking these two heroes together feels like doubling down on a single-target pickoff strategy, but their abilities can be redundant. A successful Meat Hook into Dismember from Pudge often secures a kill on its own, especially in the early and mid-game. When Queen of Pain uses her entire burst combo on that same Dismembered target, it's frequently overkill. Her Blink and high magical damage are often better used to find a separate kill elsewhere on the map, rather than piling onto a target that's already locked down and dying.

Throughout the game, this means Pudge and Queen of Pain may end up playing on parallel tracks instead of together. Both hunt for solo kills, but they don't directly set each other up in a way that other hero pairs do. If Pudge is having a bad game and missing hooks, QoP gets no benefit. If QoP can't find an angle to Blink in, she doesn't create a good target for Pudge. They succeed or fail based on their individual performance rather than making each other stronger.
