How Pudge and Techies perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Pudge and Techies win 53.22% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 117,616 matches.
Playing against a narrow chokepoint becomes terrifying with this duo. A successful Meat Hook from Pudge can drag an enemy directly into a minefield that Techies has prepared, resulting in an easy kill. This combination is especially effective for defending towers or controlling access to objectives like Roshan. Even without a full mine stack, Pudge's Dismember provides a long lockdown for Techies to land a guaranteed Sticky Bomb and follow up with Blast Off!. While this pairing requires some coordination to execute properly, the constant threat of being pulled into an explosive trap is often enough to create significant map pressure and force the enemy team to play much more cautiously.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
