Pudge + Tiny

Why this works

Having both Pudge and Tiny on a team creates an economic problem because they want to fill the same role. Both are primarily single-target initiators, but their spells actively work against each other. Tiny's Toss can throw an enemy to safety right as Pudge's Meat Hook is about to land, and a successful Hook can pull a target out of an Avalanche combo before it does its full damage. This anti-synergy makes their ganks unreliable, slowing down the gold and experience gain that both heroes desperately need in the early game.

This lineup is forced to play a very specific, high-risk game of hunting for solo pickoffs. The duo is strong at bursting one hero, but they offer very little against a coordinated team. Opponents can counter this by grouping up and pushing towers, knowing that neither Pudge nor Tiny has good waveclear or sustained teamfight damage to defend. As the enemy team takes map control, it becomes harder and harder for this pair to find the isolated kills they need to stay relevant, often leaving their team on the back foot.
