Pudge + Undying

Why this works

Getting caught out by a Meat Hook feels worse when a Tombstone immediately spawns on your head. The combined slows from Rot and the zombies can make escaping feel impossible, while Undying's Decay spam softens up the target for Pudge's eventual Dismember. This setup can certainly secure early kills, but it depends entirely on that initial hook connecting. Without it, the two don't offer each other much direct setup, as neither hero has a reliable stun to guarantee the other's spells will land.

This pair wants to build a lead from early aggression and then roll over the map. A successful hook can easily turn into a tower push, with Tombstone zoning out any response. Teams playing against this duo learn to prioritize vision and avoid grouping up, which denies Pudge his ideal targets. If the initial ganks fail to build momentum, their game plans can diverge. Undying will look for big, messy teamfights to get value from his ultimate, while Pudge may still be on the sidelines, waiting for a pickoff that never comes.
