Why this works

Controlling an area to take towers can feel more secure with this duo. Pugna provides sustained building damage with Nether Blast, and Techies can make the surrounding ground a nightmare for defenders to contest. By placing Proximity Mines around an objective, Techies creates a buffer zone that discourages initiation. This gives Pugna the space and time he needs to chip away at a tower or barracks, forcing the enemy to either take a bad fight into the mines or give up the objective. The plan is straightforward: set up, defend the setup, and push.

This strategy hinges on being able to control the game's pace. It requires time for Techies to prepare an area, making the team's movements predictable. An enemy team that plays aggressively can disrupt this plan by forcing fights away from the mined zones or by ganking heroes during rotations. If opponents can find and kill Pugna before the siege is established, the entire push falls apart.
