Why this works

Facing an initiation from both these heroes should be a death sentence, but it often feels surprisingly manageable. The core of the issue is Tiny’s Toss. It’s a vital part of his own burst and control, but where the target lands can be chaotic for an ally. This is a nightmare for Queen of Pain, who needs a target to be in a predictable spot to land a full Sonic Wave after she commits with Blink. When Tiny tosses her intended victim, he frequently moves them to safety, wasting her ultimate and leaving her dangerously exposed.

This lack of coordination carries through the whole game. Ganks that look guaranteed on paper fall apart when a Toss sends the enemy flying away from Queen of Pain’s damage. The Tiny player is left with an awkward choice: either hold back on a key part of their own combo or risk saving the enemy. Opponents quickly adapt, realizing they can often survive the initial burst because the two heroes actively interfere with each other’s spell patterns. This leaves two powerful initiators who constantly get in each other’s way instead of securing clean kills.
