Queen of Pain + Treant Protector

Why this works

Catching a target is the goal, but these two heroes often disagree on the timing. Queen of Pain wants to use Blink for instant initiation, unloading her spells before the enemy can react. Treant Protector, however, is much slower and more methodical. His best setup tool, Overgrowth, requires him to already be in position, which is difficult when his core is blinking across the screen to start a fight. His defensive nature doesn't provide the aggressive, immediate lockdown a hero like Queen of Pain prefers to see from her allies.

As a result, fights can feel disjointed. Queen of Pain might find a good opening but get focused down before Treant can walk into range to provide support. Alternatively, Treant might use his ultimate reactively to save her after a failed attempt, rather than to enable a clean kill. While Living Armor is always helpful for trading, opponents can often exploit the time it takes for Treant to join a fight that Queen of Pain starts. This forces them to play around the enemy's mistakes rather than creating their own openings.
