Queen of Pain + Vengeful Spirit

Why this works

Setting up kills with Magic Missile for a Queen of Pain combo seems straightforward, but the two heroes often operate on different tempos. Vengeful Spirit provides a solid single-target stun and some damage amplification, which can secure a kill on an isolated target. However, Queen of Pain is a mobile hero who wants to find her own openings with Blink. She doesn't always need Vengeful Spirit to hold someone down, and Venge's kit doesn't add much to QoP's ability to survive after she commits to a fight.

The laning stage can go well if Vengeful Spirit rotates to secure an early kill, but the pair's impact can fall off as the game progresses. In larger fights, their plans might not align. Queen of Pain wants to use her mobility to assassinate the enemy backline, while Vengeful Spirit is often focused on enabling her own carry or trading her life with Nether Swap. If their initial target survives the burst from Sonic Wave, the duo lacks the follow-up control to finish the job, leaving both heroes vulnerable as their key spells go on cooldown.
