Clockwerk + Silencer

Why this works

Securing a kill with this duo can create space to take objectives, but the execution isn't always clean. Clockwerk's job is to initiate with Hookshot and trap a single hero in Power Cogs. Silencer can then layer on Arcane Curse and Last Word to punish them. The main challenge is that the Cogs physically block Silencer's movement and attacks, forcing him to find an awkward angle or wait for them to expire. Using Global Silence to set up a pickoff for Clockwerk can work, but committing a teamfight-winning ultimate for one kill is often a steep price to pay, which is why their overall impact together feels inconsistent.

How this pairing plays out really depends on team compositions and coordination. They are at their best when they can roam the map and find isolated targets, turning a pickoff into a tower or Roshan. In larger five-on-five engagements, however, their goals can diverge. Clockwerk wants to dive the backline and cause chaos, while Silencer generally prefers to stay farther back to deal damage safely. If an enemy team is prepared and grouped, they can often collapse on the trapped Clockwerk before Silencer can contribute enough to save him or win the resulting fight.
