Clockwerk + Spirit Breaker

Why this works

Pairing two long-range initiators seems like a good plan, but in practice, their kits conflict. Clockwerk's Hookshot and Spirit Breaker's Charge of Darkness both want to be the first spell cast, making one of them redundant in a gank. Worse, Spirit Breaker can easily knock a target out of Power Cogs with his Charge or Bashes, actively ruining Clockwerk's lockdown. The Cogs can also physically block Spirit Breaker from reaching his own charged target, creating chaos where there should be focused control.

Across the map, this means ganks often feel disjointed. One hero goes in, and the other's main initiation tool is often held or arrives too late to matter. In larger fights, this lack of chained control becomes a real problem. The enemy team can often isolate and burst down whichever hero dives first, as their partner's follow-up is awkward. For this pair to succeed, they need extremely precise timing to avoid stepping on each other's spells, which is much harder than picking heroes whose abilities naturally stack.
