Riki + Weaver

Why this works

Facing two different sources of invisibility can be confusing, but it often lacks a finishing blow. Both Riki and Weaver are slippery damage dealers who want to pick off lone targets. The problem is that neither brings the lockdown needed to guarantee a kill. A target can often survive the initial burst and simply walk or teleport away while Riki and Weaver are left without the tools to stop them. Their skills overlap in what they want to do—deal damage and escape—but they fail to cover each other's weakness, which is a lack of hard control.

This lineup often struggles to find its rhythm. Both heroes need items and farm to be effective, which can create competition for resources across the map. In teamfights, the lack of a durable front-liner or a strong initiator becomes obvious. Weaver and Riki both prefer to join a fight after it has started, leaving their team vulnerable to being run over. The enemy can counter this by staying grouped, forcing direct confrontations where this duo is less comfortable, and building armor to mitigate the largely physical damage output.
