Ringmaster + Tidehunter

Why this works

Setting up the perfect teamfight often feels redundant with this pair. Both Tidehunter and Ringmaster want to group enemies for a big spell, but their methods can work against each other. Tidehunter is looking for a clean Blink Dagger initiation onto heroes who are already grouped or out of position. Ringmaster's hypnotic pull forces enemy movement, which can make it harder for Tide to land that perfect Ravage on the targets he wants. You end up with two heroes trying to do the same job of clumping the enemy, which often means one hero’s contribution feels wasted.

This dynamic means the duo doesn't really accelerate your team's game plan. You're still waiting for Tidehunter to farm his core initiation items, and the combo itself isn't strong enough to secure objectives on its own. In fights, the ideal setup of a pull into a Ravage is hard to time correctly. More often, the Tidehunter initiates before the pull is finished, or the Ringmaster has to hold his spells entirely. This slight hesitation or awkwardness is all the enemy needs to react, split up, or counter-initiate before the full combo lands.
