Skywrath Mage + Windranger

Why this works

Combining their full burst on one target is the main idea here. Windranger's Shackleshot can provide a great setup for Skywrath Mage to land Mystic Flare. The issue is that both heroes are doing a very similar job: high single-target damage. They don't have much wave clear or area-of-effect control between them, so pushing out lanes or fighting into multiple enemies can be a real struggle. They're also both quite fragile, so they have to play perfectly to avoid getting caught.

This pairing's game plan often relies on getting early pickoffs to create an advantage. If they can secure those kills, they build momentum. But if the enemy dodges those attempts or plays defensively, both heroes can find themselves with very little farm and falling behind on key items. In later fights, they remain a threat to one hero, but they depend heavily on the rest of their team to provide a frontline and broader control, as they have little ability to create space or survive being jumped on.
