Slark + Sven

Why this works

Catching a hero out of position can work well for this pair. Sven can lead with Storm Hammer, giving Slark a perfect setup to land Pounce and build up Essence Shift stacks without the target immediately escaping. Sven’s Warcry also provides some welcome armor and speed for Slark, letting him commit a little harder than he normally might during a gank. This creates a fairly reliable way to punish lone enemies, especially during the mid-game when both heroes are looking for kills to build momentum.

The main challenge is that both heroes are typically farm-hungry melee carries. They can end up competing for the same areas of the map, slowing down their timings. Their teamfight approaches might also clash. Sven wants to group up and hit everyone at once with God's Strength, while Slark is better at picking off stragglers on the edges of the fight. Because their game plans don't always align, the small bit of synergy they have in ganks often gets lost in the broader strategy of the game, making their success together feel inconsistent.
