Slark + Tidehunter

Why this works

Teamfights feel a lot cleaner with this pairing. Tidehunter provides the one thing Slark needs to get going: a huge, reliable stun. A good Ravage lets Slark close the distance, Pounce a key target, and build up Essence Shift stacks without getting kited or bursted down immediately. Gush adds to this by shredding the target's armor, making Slark's right-clicks hit much harder from the very start of the engagement. It's a simple, effective setup for a hero that thrives on finding a good initial target.

The game plan revolves around coordinating those two ultimates. When Ravage and Shadow Dance are both available, your team has a clear window to force a fight and take an objective. If Tidehunter's ultimate is on cooldown, however, Slark has to go back to playing more cautiously, looking for solo pickoffs rather than full team engagements. Opponents will track Ravage's cooldown and try to pressure the map during that downtime, knowing that the primary setup for Slark is temporarily gone.
