Slark + Venomancer

Why this works

Applying Poison Nova across the enemy team feels like it should set Slark up for a rampage, but their styles don't quite align. Slark needs to burst a single target down immediately to start his snowball, while Venomancer's damage is slow, spread out, and non-lethal on its own. This means the enemy team, while low on health, is still at full strength to turn and focus Slark the moment he commits with Pounce. The constant poison damage can also make it harder for Slark to break combat and trigger his passive healing, forcing him into riskier fights.

This dynamic creates a feeling of disconnect. In lane, Venomancer provides slows but lacks the hard lockdown Slark often prefers for securing kills. Later on, the two heroes tend to fight parallel battles instead of one cohesive one. Venomancer applies his poisons from the perimeter while Slark has to execute his own solo pick-off plan without much direct setup. The spells don't actively work against each other, but they don't combine into a reliable plan, leaving each hero to fend for themselves.
