How Sven and Templar Assassin perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Sven and Templar Assassin win 45.63% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 9,969 matches.
Picking these two cores on the same team often forces a difficult choice about who gets farm priority. Sven and Templar Assassin both want to accelerate by flash-farming the same jungle and ancient camps, meaning one hero is usually left behind on key items. This creates a timing clash, as both heroes want to hit their peak and dominate the mid-game, but they can’t both be the focal point. In fights, they also overlap as physical burst damage dealers who rely on others for lockdown. Their combined damage type is predictable, making it much easier for opponents to itemize with armor or a Ghost Scepter to survive the initial assault.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
