Sven + Windranger

Why this works

Setting up a teamfight with this pair can feel a bit disjointed. Sven wants to jump into a group of enemies with God's Strength and cleave them all down at once. His whole plan revolves around hitting multiple targets. Windranger, on the other hand, excels at deleting a single, high-priority hero from long range with Focus Fire, often after landing a Shackleshot. Both heroes are major sources of physical damage, but they want the fight to unfold in opposite ways. Sven wants a brawl; Windranger wants a surgical pick-off.

This difference in purpose means they often end up splitting their focus. Sven might blink in on the enemy front line, while Windranger is looking for a shackle angle on a support in the back. The result is that neither hero gets the perfect setup they need. For this composition to work, one hero has to compromise their game plan to support the other. Either Windranger uses her spells to set up for Sven's cleave, or Sven has to commit his stun to help Windranger secure a Focus Fire kill. It can feel like you're only getting the full value out of one core at a time.
