Techies + Vengeful Spirit

Why this works

Drafting against this pair means rethinking your team's mobility and positioning. Nether Swap is already a powerful tool, but when Vengeful Spirit can pull an enemy hero directly into a pre-stacked minefield, it becomes a reliable kill button. The setup requires very little coordination and works at all stages of the game. Before level six, Venge's stun from Magic Missile provides more than enough time for Techies to land a Sticky Bomb and secure early kills, establishing lane dominance and creating space to mine the map.

This threat forces opponents to play a completely different game. They have to constantly invest in Sentries and move as a group, but even then, a well-placed Swap can pick one off. The pressure isn't about one big teamfight; it’s about making every corner of the map feel unsafe, slowing down the enemy's farm and objective timings. The only way to play against it is to establish overwhelming vision control to spot the traps ahead of time, or to try and burst Vengeful Spirit before she can get her spells off.
