Techies + Warlock

Why this works

Fighting into a big Warlock ultimate is already tough, but a Techies on the same team can make the aftermath even worse. The stun from Chaotic Offering can give Techies the time to place extra mines on caught enemies, or to use Blast Off! on a key target without interruption. Fatal Bonds also punishes the enemy team for grouping up to clear mines or avoid the golem, spreading the damage around. It’s a pairing that creates multiple overlapping threats in a small area, forcing opponents into uncomfortable decisions about where to stand and who to focus.

This combination excels at defending objectives and high ground. Warlock can drop his golem to start a fight in an area Techies has already prepared, making it very difficult for the enemy to commit. An organized team can often play around this by controlling vision to avoid the mine stacks, or by catching either Warlock or Techies out of position before a fight begins. The duo is much less threatening when forced to play on the offensive, as their strength relies on the enemy coming to them on their terms.
