Templar Assassin + Viper

Why this works

Drafting both Templar Assassin and Viper often forces one into a lane where they are less effective, as they both prefer to control the game's pace from mid. Their core problem is a lack of synergy in their kits. Templar Assassin needs a hard stun to guarantee her entire physical burst combo lands on a target, but Viper brings no such lockdown. Viper's slows from Poison Attack are decent, but his damage-over-time style works against TA's goal of deleting an enemy instantly. A slow death from poison doesn't help preserve Refraction charges in a fight.

This mismatch plays out poorly across the map. Instead of ganking together, the two heroes often end up playing for themselves, unable to combine their strengths effectively. Templar Assassin will blink in for a kill, but Viper’s contribution isn’t the immediate burst or control she needs to succeed and survive. The team's damage becomes awkwardly split between TA’s front-loaded physical burst and Viper’s sustained magic damage. This forces the team to fight on two different timetables at once, which rarely works out well against a more focused lineup.
