Treant Protector + Windranger

Why this works

Catching a hero for Focus Fire often requires a clean, long-duration stun. While Treant Protector's Overgrowth provides a massive area-of-effect root, rooted enemies can still turn, cast most spells, and use defensive items. This makes it difficult for Windranger to get her full ultimate damage off without interruption. The setup from Treant feels slightly mismatched; it's great for starting a fight, but it doesn't offer the specific, hard lockdown that Windranger needs to guarantee a solo kill on a priority target.

Early laning often feels disconnected, as Treant Protector may prefer to influence the map globally with Living Armor rather than sit in lane to help set up a Shackleshot. Later on, their objectives can diverge. Treant excels at controlling multiple heroes in a full teamfight, whereas Windranger is at her best picking off a single, isolated enemy. This difference in tempo means the duo can struggle to find a common game plan, allowing opponents to either group up to negate Windranger's threat or split up to avoid a big Overgrowth.
