Troll Warlord + Viper

Why this works

Pairing these two heroes looks like a simple plan to melt a single target. Viper provides heavy slows with Viper Strike and Troll Warlord brings the damage. The problem is they're both trying to do the same job without covering each other's weaknesses. A slow from Viper is helpful, but it doesn't stop a support from using a Force Staff on their carry or a hero from blinking away. Neither hero brings the instant, reliable lockdown that actually guarantees kills. They end up offering a lot of sustained damage but no real way to pin down elusive enemies.

The game plan becomes very one-dimensional. If opponents let Viper and Troll Warlord run at them, it works. But smart teams exploit the lack of stuns by kiting, splitting up, or saving allies with spells and items. Both cores often end up racing for their BKBs, but they can still be separated and controlled even after that timing. The draft becomes reliant on the enemy team making a mistake and taking a fight they can't win, rather than creating a definite advantage on its own.
