Undying + Ursa

Why this works

Forcing the issue early can feel a bit awkward for this pairing. While Undying excels at creating chaotic, drawn-out teamfights with Tombstone, Ursa prefers to have a single target locked down so he can burst it before the enemy can react. Undying doesn't offer a reliable stun to enable this. Decay helps make a target softer, but without a hard disable to hold them in place, mobile heroes can often survive Ursa's initial onslaught by creating distance. The broad chaos from zombies doesn't always translate into the focused kill Ursa needs to get ahead.

This lane is often strong, but translating that pressure into mid-game control isn't guaranteed. The plan is to run at the enemy and take objectives, but opponents can play around this by spreading out and kiting. If the initial fights don't go perfectly, the enemy team can stabilize. Ursa then finds himself wanting to hunt for pickoffs to scale, but his partner offers more of a messy brawl than the specific setup he needs. The game can stall out, which is exactly what an Ursa and Undying draft wants to avoid.
