Undying + Venomancer

Why this works

Dominating the early lane doesn't always translate into a real advantage for this duo. Both Venomancer and Undying excel at applying constant, slowing damage over a large area, but they lack the tools to finish the job. Tombstone zombies, Plague Wards, and various poisons will chip away at health pools, but without a hard stun or significant burst damage between them, opponents can often survive long enough to walk away. This can lead to won lanes that don't secure enough kills to create a meaningful gold lead.

As teams start to group, this lack of control becomes more apparent. The pair's strategy revolves around setting up a big zone of control with Tombstone and Poison Nova, daring the enemy to fight into it. A team with good mobility or cores with Black King Bar, however, can often ignore this setup. Without a reliable way to lock down a priority target, Undying and Venomancer can't stop an enemy from running past them and attacking the backline, dismantling the fight before their attrition-based damage can take hold.
