Mirage in Deadlock: win rate, pick rate, top counters and best teammates, from Batru's recent-match pipeline.
Squishy, position-dependent heroes give Mirage the openings he wants. Sinclair, Mina, and Shiv all rely on holding an angle or committing to a channel, and Mirage punishes that by tagging them and forcing them out of position before they can finish what they started. Where he suffers is against durable, self-sufficient bruisers who don't care about a little chip. Seven, Victor, and Graves can trade back through his harass, out-sustain his poke, and close the gap once he's spent his tools. Draft tip: pick Mirage into a fragile backline you can pick apart, and avoid him when the enemy fields tanky frontliners who ignore harass.

Mirage wants a partner who converts his displacement and pressure into a kill, and Seven fits that cleanly. When Mirage yanks someone out of a safe angle or forces a panic reposition, Seven follows up with heavy area burst that catches them mid-scramble with nowhere clean to run. Mirage brings the setup and the disruption; Seven brings the payoff that actually closes the fight. Together they turn a single caught-out enemy into a lost teamfight, and they let Seven find windows he couldn't create alone.
