Underlord vs Clinkz

How this matchup plays

Trying to create a frontline and control a teamfight becomes difficult against a hero who can ignore it. Underlord excels at setting up a defensive zone with Firestorm and Pit of Malice, but Clinkz has the tools to bypass this entirely. Using invisibility, he can walk past the frontline Underlord creates and focus on bursting down a more valuable target in the back. Underlord's Atrophy Aura does reduce physical damage, making him a poor primary target for Clinkz, but that often doesn't matter. The bone archer simply isn't forced to attack him and can instead pick off the heroes Underlord is trying to protect.

This dynamic means Clinkz can often dictate the pace of engagements. While Underlord is a strong tower defender and can push lanes with his team, he has trouble responding to Clinkz split-pushing or finding pickoffs across the map. The matchup often boils down to positioning. If Underlord’s team can stay grouped and ready, they can punish Clinkz if he overextends into a Pit of Malice. More often, though, Clinkz can find an opening to delete a key hero before Underlord can properly react, giving his own team a crucial lead before the fight really begins.
