Underlord vs Earth Spirit

How this matchup plays

Rolling out of Pit of Malice is usually easy for Earth Spirit, meaning he personally isn't too threatened by Underlord's primary lockdown. The problem is he can't get his teammates out. While Earth Spirit is mobile enough to survive, Underlord’s job is to make a big area miserable with Firestorm and Atrophy Aura, which still wears down the rest of the team. Earth Spirit can disrupt Fiend's Gate, which is helpful, but he can't burst the tanky Underlord himself. The result is that they often don't interact directly. Earth Spirit goes looking for pickoffs on other heroes, while Underlord focuses on controlling space for his own cores, making their direct impact on each other fairly minimal.
