Underlord vs Razor

How this matchup plays

Trying to connect Static Link on a key target becomes very awkward when an Underlord is on the other team. Razor needs to stand his ground to drain damage, but Underlord's entire kit punishes that. Firestorm forces him to either move or take a ton of magic damage, while Pit of Malice can root him in place and break the link entirely. Atrophy Aura also reduces Razor's base damage before he even gets a chance to link someone, weakening his initial impact in a fight, especially when there are a lot of creeps or heroes nearby.

During the laning stage, Underlord can make it difficult for Razor to secure farm and trade effectively. Later on, Underlord is a naturally tanky hero who doesn't mind being the initial target for Static Link, buying his own cores time to deal with Razor. Razor is forced to play around Underlord's area denial, either by building items to ignore it or by trying to find a pickoff away from him. It’s not a hard counter, since Razor can still find angles on other heroes, but Underlord’s presence creates a consistent obstacle to Razor's game plan.
