Underlord vs Zeus

How this matchup plays

Pushing into a Zeus feels difficult, as his constant magical damage can soften up an entire team before a fight begins. Underlord is built to absorb that kind of pressure, often buying team-wide defensive items that mitigate Zeus's impact. He can stand his ground and create space for his team to farm or take towers. However, Underlord himself poses very little threat to Zeus in return. Atrophy Aura doesn't affect spell damage, and Zeus is skilled at staying far away from the front lines, making him a difficult target for Pit of Malice.

The matchup often comes down to which hero's team can better execute their plan. Zeus and his team want to play a drawn-out poking game, slowly bleeding the enemy of their resources before taking a fight. Underlord's side wants to do the opposite, using tools like Fiend's Gate to bypass the standoff and force a fight on top of the fragile Zeus. Neither hero has a decisive advantage on their own, so success depends entirely on teamwork, positioning, and which team can better enable their hero's preferred style of engagement.
