Alchemist vs Morphling

How this matchup plays

Shifting into full Agility against an Alchemist feels dangerous. His Acid Spray continuously reduces armor, which punishes a hero who naturally has a low health pool when built for damage. This makes Morphling surprisingly fragile, even with a massive Agility stat. If Alchemist lands an Unstable Concoction while Morphling is standing in the acid, the combination of physical damage amplification and a long stun is often enough to secure a kill before he can shift back to Strength or Waveform away. Alchemist is simply too tanky during Chemical Rage for Morphling to burst down easily in a one-on-one trade.

Alchemist wants to leverage this pressure to accelerate with Greevil's Greed and hit an early item timing that Morphling can't contest. The plan is to control the map and end the game before Morphling gets the items he needs to become a late-game threat. For the Morphling player, the game is about survival. You have to be disciplined with Waveform to dodge the stun and respect Alchemist's timings. If you can make it to the late game, your ability to instantly delete a support or kite the Alchemist can still win fights, but getting there is the hard part.
