Alchemist vs Razor

How this matchup plays

Fighting a farmed Alchemist hinges on controlling him during Chemical Rage. Razor has an ideal tool for this in Static Link, which drains the very damage Alchemist needs to be a threat. This creates a tense interaction around item usage. An Alchemist with Manta Style can instantly dispel the link, completely turning a bad situation around. Similarly, activating Black King Bar before Razor gets close prevents the link from being applied in the first place, letting Alchemist run free for its duration. The fight often swings based on who uses their key ability or item first, making it a real test of reflexes.

This dynamic means Razor can have a better time early on, disrupting Alchemist's farm and slowing his timings. Once Alchemist gets his core items, however, the game becomes about who gets the jump. Razor will be hunting for an opportunity to land a clean Static Link before a fight breaks out. Alchemist, in turn, has to play carefully, using his team as a screen or farming in safer areas until he's ready. He wants to start fights on his own terms, ideally activating his ultimate and BKB before Razor is even in range to respond.
