Alchemist vs Templar Assassin

How this matchup plays

Getting your Refraction charges stripped away almost instantly makes the lane feel impossible. Templar Assassin depends on that shield to trade and survive, but Alchemist's Acid Spray deals damage over time in rapid ticks. A single cast burns through her entire defensive layer, leaving her completely exposed to right-clicks and harassment. Her main tool for winning the lane is effectively countered by one of Alchemist's basic spells, making it very hard for her to secure farm.

This pressure allows Alchemist to build a lead with Greevil's Greed and hit his item timings much earlier. He quickly becomes a tanky, high-regeneration core that Templar Assassin has no hope of bursting down. While TA wants to find solo kills to accelerate, a farmed Alchemist with Chemical Rage is one of the worst possible targets for her. Alchemist gets to dictate the pace of the game, forcing Templar Assassin into a reactive and uncomfortable position from which it's difficult to recover.
