Alchemist vs Terrorblade

How this matchup plays

Fighting inside an Acid Spray is rough for a hero like Terrorblade. His high armor is his main defensive tool, and the spray melts it away. This makes him, and especially his illusions, much more vulnerable to physical damage from Alchemist and his team. While the spray's own damage is not the main threat, the armor reduction is what sets up kills. Alchemist also farms fast enough to build items that deal magical damage, like a Radiance or Maelstrom, which bypass armor entirely and give Terrorblade another problem to solve.

The game often becomes a race. Alchemist uses his farming speed to hit a powerful mid-game timing, looking to end things before Terrorblade gets his own core items. A well-timed push with an armor-reduction advantage can break high ground. Terrorblade's plan is to survive this window, split push with illusions, and get to a point where he can use Sunder in a fight or kite the Alchemist with an item like Skadi. If the game goes late enough, Terrorblade can often turn the tables, which is why the advantage for Alchemist isn't overwhelming.
