Terrorblade (TB) Counter Picks — 7.41f
Who counters Terrorblade (TB) in Dota 2 7.41f? Counter picks and matchups for Terrorblade, ranked by win rate from ranked matches.
Terrorblade is an illusion carry whose Conjure Image clones, Metamorphosis grants ranged form, and Sunder swaps HP to survive — a fast-scaling pusher. He's strong into single-target heroes his illusions overwhelm: Templar Assassin, Nature's Prophet and Timbersaw drown in clones. Terrorblade is hard-countered by AoE and illusion-war heroes: Phantom Lancer out-illusions him, Axe AoE-Calls his clones, and Naga Siren or Dark Seer clear or duplicate past him. Draft tip: Terrorblade is a brutal mid-game illusion carry into single-target drafts; he's neutralized by AoE clear (Axe, Sand King) and rival illusion (PL, Naga) line-ups.
In Dota 2 7.41f, the heroes that counter Terrorblade hardest are Phantom Lancer, Axe and Legion Commander — Terrorblade wins only 39.2%, 40.7% and 41.1% of ranked matches against them.
How to counter Terrorblade: why these picks work
- Phantom Lancer — In the illusion-army mirror, Lancer's bodies are cheaper, faster to remake and carry Diffusal mana burn — Terrorblade's expensive clones lose the war of attrition.
- Axe — Berserker's Call plus Counter Helix shreds the illusion army and forces melee-form Terrorblade to fight inside the spin — Sunder can't fix standing in the wrong place.
- Legion Commander — Duel targets the real Terrorblade regardless of the illusion screen, and a Duel loss right after Metamorphosis is the largest tempo swing his team can concede.
- Lich — Frost Shield blunts the illusions' physical damage and Chain Frost bouncing through a tight illusion pack is one of the game's cleanest team-fight wins.
