Alchemist vs Tinker

How this matchup plays

Thinking Tinker can control the game before Alchemist gets farmed is the main trap here. People see Tinker's ability to pressure lanes and assume he can shut down a greedy core. What actually happens is that Alchemist's Greevil's Greed allows him to catch up and then accelerate past Tinker's own farm, even from behind. He uses this gold to buy items specifically to get on top of a slippery target. A charged Unstable Concoction is often all it takes to initiate a kill, and Tinker is too fragile to survive the follow-up.

This matchup puts Tinker on a very tight clock. Early on, he can try to cause problems with Laser and Heat-Seeking Missiles, but it rarely stops Alchemist from farming jungle stacks with Acid Spray. Once Alchemist gets a key mobility or lockdown item, the dynamic flips entirely. He stops farming and starts hunting. Tinker is forced to play much more cautiously, which completely undermines his goal of split-pushing and chipping away at the enemy team. He can’t keep his distance when Alchemist can blink in and stun him before he has a chance to react.
