Alchemist vs Troll Warlord

How this matchup plays

Fighting into an Alchemist can feel like a race against the clock. Troll Warlord wants to run at him and start hitting, but Alchemist’s Chemical Rage provides so much regeneration and movement speed that he can often just walk away. Even if Troll does get on top of him, Alchemist can reduce his armor with Acid Spray and try to burst him with an Unstable Concoction. On the other hand, Troll’s melee Whirling Axes applies a miss chance, which significantly cuts Alchemist's damage output during his ultimate.

This matchup is all about timings and map control. Alchemist’s entire game plan revolves around farming faster than anyone else and creating an overwhelming item advantage. Troll Warlord’s job, with the help of his team, is to disrupt that plan. He needs to force fights and find pickoffs on Alchemist before that item lead gets out of hand. If Alchemist is left alone, he'll eventually emerge too strong to handle. If Troll successfully pressures him, he can shut down the gold machine and win the direct carry-versus-carry fight later on.
