Alchemist vs Zeus

How this matchup plays

Surviving the laning phase against Zeus is the first major test for Alchemist. The constant magical poke from Arc Lightning can make it difficult to secure farm, and Lightning Bolt's True Sight can ruin a Shadow Blade escape attempt. However, Alchemist's own kit provides the solution. Once Chemical Rage is online, the massive health regeneration often negates most of Zeus's harass. This turns the lane from a survival test into a farm-fest, as long as Alchemist can avoid a full burst combo before his ultimate is ready.

This dynamic creates a race against the clock. The Zeus player and his team must apply constant pressure to slow down Alchemist’s Greevil's Greed and prevent him from hitting his critical item timings. Alchemist’s goal is to weather that storm, accelerate his farm, and acquire items that let him ignore magic damage, like a Black King Bar. If Alchemist gets his items on time, he can run at Zeus with little fear. If his timings are sufficiently delayed by early pressure, he may never reach that powerful state.
