Arc Warden vs Faceless Void

How this matchup plays

Catching the real Arc Warden is how you shut down his teamfight contribution. A successful Chronosphere can isolate and kill him, but this is always a gamble because of his Tempest Double. If Faceless Void commits his ultimate on the illusion, the fight is usually lost right there. Arc Warden can also make it difficult for Void to finish the job even when caught by placing Magnetic Field to grant evasion to allies or protect a key structure. The entire interaction revolves around identifying the correct target under pressure.

This dynamic creates a tense mid and late game. Arc Warden wants to stay far back, using his double to split-push or deal damage from a safe distance. Faceless Void has to be patient, waiting for a chance to jump on the real hero when he's out of position. Time Walk gives Void a way to dodge Spark Wraiths or escape a bad spot, but it’s rarely enough to close the distance on his own. The game often becomes a standoff, where a fight is decided by which player makes the first critical mistake with their ultimate.
