Arc Warden vs Legion Commander

How this matchup plays

Playing against a Legion Commander means the map shrinks for Arc Warden very early, choking his farm and map presence. Her entire game plan revolves around finding and isolating a target, and Arc Warden is the perfect victim. He's squishy and wants to play from the back, but a Blink Dagger into Duel ignores all his careful positioning. Magnetic Field provides no protection from the lockdown, and once caught, Arc Warden rarely has the health to survive. It's a direct counter to his need for safe, split-push farming.

As the game goes on, this pressure becomes suffocating. Once Legion Commander has her initiation tools, the real Arc Warden has to play extremely defensively, often forced to hide in his base while sending his Tempest Double out. This severely limits his gold income and impact. Legion's team can then use this advantage to take objectives, knowing the enemy's main damage dealer is either dead or hiding. Arc Warden's only real hope is to have teammates who can consistently save him from Duel or for his team to get so far ahead that LC can't afford to jump him.
