Head-to-head Dota 2 7.41f win rate from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Arc Warden wins the Arc Warden vs Necrophos matchup: Arc Warden beats Necrophos in 52.76% of 31,790 ranked matches.
Controlling the pace of the game is the central conflict here. Necrophos thrives in a fast, brawling style, using the constant pressure from Death Pulse and Heartstopper Aura to force fights his team can sustain through. His entire goal is to group up and run at objectives. Arc Warden is the complete opposite; he wants to slow the game down and farm multiple places at once with his Tempest Double, avoiding fights entirely.
This creates a race. The Necrophos team has a timer to convert their mid-game fighting strength into a real advantage before Arc Warden gets too farmed to handle. If they can repeatedly find and kill the real Arc Warden with Reaper's Scythe, they can break high ground and win. If they can't, Arc Warden will eventually control the map from a safe distance, chipping away at buildings with his Double while his team defends behind the safety of Magnetic Field. It's a classic clash of tempo versus scale.
