Arc Warden vs Snapfire

How this matchup plays

Picking either hero here feels like making a specific bet on how the game will play out. Arc Warden sets up a defensive position with Magnetic Field, creating a safe zone where he and his Tempest Double can freely attack. This completely shuts down Snapfire's right-clicks from Lil' Shredder if she's outside of it. The problem for Arc Warden is that this stationary play is exactly what Snapfire wants to see. Her Mortimer Kisses ultimate covers a huge area, easily hitting both the Field and anyone inside, forcing Arc and his double to abandon their position or take massive damage.

The early game usually favors Snapfire. Her ability to roam and apply pressure with Scatterblast and Firesnap Cookie can make laning miserable for an Arc Warden trying to farm his core items. If Arc Warden can weather that early storm and get his Double online, he can start applying pressure across the map. The game then becomes a race: can Snapfire and her team force fights and end the game before Arc Warden's split-pushing and late-game damage overwhelms them? The matchup often comes down to which hero is able to dictate the pace.
