Arc Warden vs Ursa

How this matchup plays

Trying to run down an Arc Warden is a frustrating experience for Ursa. Magnetic Field provides evasion that can completely negate an Overpower burst, preventing Fury Swipes from stacking up. This forces Ursa to either wait out the field or try to switch targets, both of which waste his limited window of strength. On top of that, Arc Warden can place Spark Wraiths to slow an approach and scout for ganks, making it difficult for Ursa to get a clean initiation. The Tempest Double lets Arc do all of this from a safe distance, often baiting out Ursa's key spells on a clone.

The whole game becomes about positioning. Ursa needs to get a Blink Dagger to have a chance, ideally with a Black King Bar to ignore the magic damage and slows. Arc Warden, on the other hand, is happy to split the map and force reactions. He can kite Ursa effectively if the fight starts on his terms. While Ursa can certainly win a fight if he gets a perfect jump with the right items, Arc Warden usually has the tools to control the engagement and keep the bear from ever connecting, giving him a small advantage.
