Arc Warden vs Warlock

How this matchup plays

Trying to use the Tempest Double and the main hero together often becomes a liability against Warlock. Fatal Bonds can link both units, meaning any damage taken by one is shared with the other, effectively punishing Arc Warden for grouping them up to fight inside Magnetic Field. Warlock's Chaotic Offering is also a key problem; the initial stun goes through the evasion provided by the field, locking Arc Warden down for follow-up. The resulting Golem then creates a constant source of damage that is difficult for a stationary hero to handle.

This interaction forces Arc Warden into a more cautious, split-up playstyle. He has to position his Tempest Double carefully, often using it to push a lane far from where any fight might happen, rather than using it for teamfight burst. Warlock's whole game plan is to force a five-on-five engagement where he can land his spells on multiple targets, including the real Arc Warden. Arc's success depends on his ability to dodge that initial ultimate and play on the fringes, which is simply harder to do when Warlock is on the other team.
