Arc Warden vs Weaver

How this matchup plays

Trying to find a pickoff with Shukuchi becomes a dangerous game when Arc Warden is on the other team. His ability to spam out Spark Wraiths across the map can make entire areas unsafe for a fragile hero like Weaver. Running into one at high speed means taking a big slow and a chunk of magic damage, often setting up an easy kill. Even if Weaver commits to a fight, Arc Warden can drop Magnetic Field to protect himself or an ally, making it impossible for Weaver to land his physical attacks and forcing a retreat. The Tempest Double only multiplies this pressure, covering multiple lanes and choke points at once.

This dynamic forces the Weaver player to adapt their build and playstyle significantly. The standard approach of building damage and playing aggressively is often punished, leading to a need for defensive items earlier than usual to survive the initial burst. Arc Warden's goal is to establish map control and suffocate Weaver's farm, forcing him to react. A successful Weaver needs to be patient, wait for Time Lapse to be ready, and try to catch Arc Warden out of position without his defensive tools. It's a doable task, but Arc usually holds the initiative.
