Axe vs Meepo

How this matchup plays

Trying to jump a target with all your clones and having them all suddenly turn on Axe is a disaster for Meepo. Berserker's Call clumps every Meepo together, forcing them to attack. Each of those attacks gives Axe a chance to trigger Counter Helix, creating a whirlwind of area damage that can shred through the clones faster than they can Poof away. It turns Meepo's main strength—overwhelming a target with multiple units—into his biggest liability. Axe with a Blink Dagger is a constant threat that can punish any lazy positioning.

The outcome of this matchup often depends on who gets the jump first. Axe is looking for that perfect Blink Dagger initiation to catch multiple Meepos at once. A successful Call on the clones is usually a death sentence. In response, the Meepo player has to play a careful game of map awareness, keeping clones spread out while farming or pushing to bait out Axe's big cooldowns. If Meepo can catch Axe with an Earthbind chain before he can use his spells, he has more than enough damage to burst him down. It's a tense standoff of initiation.
