Head-to-head Dota 2 7.41f win rate from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Techies wins the Axe vs Techies matchup: Techies beats Axe in 50.16% of 87,775 ranked matches.
Playing as Techies against a good Axe is a constant threat. Your whole game is about controlling space with mines, but Axe is one of the few heroes who can willingly jump right on top of you with Berserker's Call. If he has Blademail, your own burst from Blast Off! can instantly kill you. The reverse is also true, though. Axe wants to get close, which plays into your hands. A well-placed Proximity Mine or a timely Sticky Bomb can stop his aggression cold, and you can even use Blast Off! to silence him before he finds an initiation. The fight often hinges on who gets the drop on the other first.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
